Pharmaceutical Industry NewsOntario hurting pharmaceutical industryWe are just out of a recession. A lot of money has been spent by the government to keep certain industries viable and prevent the loss of jobs. Tax dollars have been overextended to preserve the economy.All through the recession, one industry that we thought was sustainable is now deliberately being thrown into recession by the McGuinty government. This is all happening in order to save a small portion of tax dollars. How short-sighted can politicians be? They are not thinking about the ramifications of what they are trying to do to the pharmaceutical industry by cutting into pharmacy funding.The funding cuts will hurt patient care at the frontline. Easily accessible pharmacies that provide valuable heath-care services that Ontarians rely on will diminish or may, in fact, disappear.
