Gerresheimer sees growth in Russia’s pharma market

Gerresheimer has set up a sales office in Moscow, which the company says will help expand its business in pharmaceutical primary packaging and drug-delivery systems. "This is a strategically important step to further develop the fast-growing pharmaceutical and healthcare markets of Russia and the neighbouring regions," said Gerresheimer ceo Dr Axel Herberg.
The Duesseldorf-based company, a manufacturer of speciality glass and plastic products for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, has been active in Russia for many years and has a wide range of customers in the country including Moscow’s Petrovax Pharm.Regional representation will not only help boost the company’s sales operations, it will also offer customer advice and technical service. Moreover, the Russian pharmaceutical industry has a strong interest in partnering to enhance its quality and technologies, added Gerresheimer.
