In the near future, people will be able to have an alternative form of personal trainer, nutritionist or medical doctor who can practically take care of them around the clock in the comfort of their own home.The ever-evolving Internet technology will bridge health experts and even computer analogies to build one-on-one relations to ``stay fit and live long,'' and revamp the healthcare sector whether a person is at home or abroad.
Such a revolution was initiated at the Health Expo organized by the Ministry for Health and Welfare in southern Seoul, Tuesday. The event lasts through Friday.Government officials project that a ubiquitous healthcare system will create a 2.3 trillion won market here by 2015, adding that internationally, it will likely grow into a $54 billion industry.``A person can check his or her own blood sugar and cholesterol levels, body fat and many other health-related indicators through a state-of-the-art homecare device.
