Joseph Bramlett teed off No. 10 on Monday with 2003 British Open champion Ben Curtis. Bramlett looked up on the No. 14 tee and suddenly welcomed three-time major champion Padraig Harrington to the practice round.Today, at 7 a.m., Bramlett will take another spin around Pebble Beach - with Tiger Woods. No, this is not another college tournament.Bramlett graduated from Stanford on Sunday and immediately stepped into another realm. He's still an amateur, and he still packed his clubs in his Cardinal golf bag, but this U.S. Open marks Bramlett's maiden appearance in a major championship.
"Not bad," he said, smiling, of the Harrington-Woods combination. "Ben Curtis, too. They've got a lot of majors between them, which is nice. I try not to bother them too much - we're all trying to work. But I ask them for tidbits here and there, little pieces of advice."Bramlett struggled with wrist injuries his last two years at Stanford, though he declared himself 100 percent Monday.
