US to work with India to make it aviation hub

Expressing shock over the air crash on the inaugural of the Aviation India 2010, United States Ambassador to India Timothy J Roemer offered condolences to the family members of those who lost their lives here today.“What began as such a promising day has sadly ended so tragically. As the full extent of this tragedy is still becoming known, all of our thoughts and prayers are with those who lost their lives or were injured, and with their families.These losses have even more piercing impact when you are part of the event,’’ he said, in a statement.
Earlier, addressing a gathering at the inaugural of US Pavilion at the airshow, Timothy Roemer said the United States will work with India to make the country a regional aviation hub.“The USA will work with Indian public and private sector partners to create economic opportunities and jobs in both the countries,’’ he said ``The partnership would create business opportunities as well as jobs in both the countries and even the US companies taking part in the event evinced interest regarding partnerships and business alliances,’’ Roemer said and added that India would benefit significantly in its project of improving the airports.
